Instructors
Those Who Carry the Tradition
Transmission requires a transmitter. The quality of the teacher determines the quality of the teaching.
The instructors of the Tiger Flower School are practitioners first. They teach because they have trained — because they have passed through the stages of the curriculum themselves and have been judged ready to transmit what they have received. Instruction at the School is not a credential. It is a responsibility.
Founder and principal transmitter of Torahana-ryu Fighting Science
Grandmaster Eddie "Tiger" Rose
Head Instructor, Tiger Flower School
The Head Instructor of the Tiger Flower School has trained in classical Japanese/Okinawan and Chinese martial traditions which also includes other established eclectic martial arts for over 50 years. Their study has encompassed Isshinryu Karate, Seicho Jutsu, Baqua Chang, Goju Kempo, American & Muy Thai Kickboxing, American Boxing, and the synthesis of that study — subjected to decades of functional analysis and practical testing — is the foundation of Torahana-ryu Fighting Science.
They have taught at the Tiger Flower School since its founding, and their primary concern as an instructor is the faithful transmission of the system: not its popularization, not its simplification, but its accurate conveyance from one generation of practitioners to the next.
